The International Dance League (also referred to as IDL) is a global professional dance league that started initially from six elite teams from South Korea, USA, Canada, Southeast Asia, Norway, and New Zealand. IDL was founded on July 2nd, 2026 by STEEZY studio’s creator Connor Lim. Teams such as 1MILLION, GRV, Brotherhood, and more represent their country and compete against each other.

By basing its structure on that of traditional professional sports such as football and basketball, the IDL raises competitive dancing to the status of a demanding athletic activity. Dancers taking part in it carry out intensive training, sometimes putting in as many as 11 hours a day. The teams have five months in which to choreograph and perfect their main competitive routines, which calls for a high degree of dedication and synchronization from each member. The structured system makes sure that the performances given on stage reflect the physical demands and the high risks found in top professional sports.

The demands placed on IDL athletes extend beyond physical stamina to exceptional mental adaptability. Because of unexpected music adjustments or copyright licensing constraints, teams are sometimes forced to scrap their existing routines and build completely new sets. In these high pressure moments, dancers may be given as little as two weeks to perfect an entirely new routine from scratch. This constant need for flexibility under long working hours ensures that only the most resilient crews triumph in the league.
