Welcome to the PawPrint!

We are the official, student-led news source for Carmenita Middle School. Our website is created, written, and managed entirely by students in grades 7th–8th in our Journalism and Yearbook class. We love uncovering stories, sharing unique perspectives, and keeping our school connected.

Our Mission:

Founded and operated by the students of Carmentia Middle School, Carmenita News is an independent digital publication dedicated to amplifying student voices, breaking campus news, and exploring the issues that matter most to our community. From hard-hitting investigative journalism to campus culture and athletics, our newsroom is committed to accuracy, transparency, and elevating the next generation of storytellers.

What We Cover:

School News: Updates on sports, clubs, spirit weeks, and hallway trends.

Student Spotlights: Interviews with inspiring classmates, teachers, and staff.

Creative Corner: Original student artwork, photography, poetry, and short stories.

Reviews & Opinions: Honest takes on books, video games, movies, and school lunch.

Our Journalistic Promise:

We promise to tell the truth. Our staff works hard to check facts, interview reliable sources, and write fairly. We use technology responsibly to edit our work, but every story is researched and written by real student reporters.
