Cortis is a 5 member boy group consisting of Martin, Juhoon, James, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. This group is a very talented group that acts as their own composers, producers, editors, songwriters, and directors. They’re defined by the stories they tell through their music and performances. This also represents their name, Cortis, coming from the phrase “Color outside the lines”. “Which plays on their freedom of creative expression and their breaking of societal boundaries” (Forbes) This quote really emphasizes their impressive and exceptional talent at their young ages.

Cortis is a group of teenagers from the ages 16 to 20. Their development took place on James’ (one of the members) 20th birthday. “After this, they found themselves climbing global music charts and jumping headfirst into careers as international pop stars.” (Hollywood Reporter) Only after a couple of months, they expanded into one of the most popular kpop boy groups at this time.
Their lead single, “What you want”, is also their debut single with strong drum beats and amazingly ranged vocals, is one of their most popular songs. This song also includes a special guest, Teezo Touchdown, bringing this track to even more success. “GO!”, Cortis' most popular song, is an upbeat song that really shows their passion for music making. “GO! Is an adrenaline hit, a song that seems to sprint faster than its own production refusing to breathe.” (Tmrwmagazine) These songs really show how popular Cortis already got in their short amount of time after debuting.
