Back to School Field Day
Back to school field day was an after-school event hosted by ASB. It was originally scheduled for August 26, 2026, but was moved to September 3, 2026 due to extreme weather. It was an ASB organized event that was meant to promote attendance of students and to celebrate the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
Back to school field day was a fun afternoon, filled with many food stations and games. There was Kona Ice, Boba Time, strawberry cups, Dolewhip, Costco pizza, and more.
This event had many interactive games like dunk tanks and water balloon tosses, which many ASB members and students got drenched from. The event also had a game booths such as one where students were supposed to stack a number of boxes on top of each other without the tower tipping over. Only a couple groups of participants were successful in accomplishing it.
Kassandra Ly, an 8th grader at Carmenita says, “I personally think this year’s Back to School Field day was better than last year. They had more fun games and delicious food to enjoy. Overall, I had an amazing time at CMS Back to School Field Day 2026”.
Overall, it looked like all the attending students had a lot of fun and this was a great way to kick off this 2026-2027 school year.
